There are 3 Types of Design Firm Owners, which one are you?

You’re not stuck. You’re just operating from a different stage of business.

Over the past few months, I’ve been speaking with a lot of designers at every stage, from just starting out to running multi-six-figure firms. And I started to notice a pattern.

Most designers fall into one of three business identities. Not personality types, but ways of operating that directly impact how stable, profitable, and predictable your business feels.

In this episode, I’m breaking down:

The Resourceful Designer who is always learning, trying, and saying yes, but often feels scattered
The Adaptable Designer who is working hard and seeing some success, but still can’t quite “lock it in”
The Confident Designer who has built structure, clarity, and predictability into every part of their business

If your calendar is full but your revenue still feels inconsistent…
If you’re doing “all the right things” but still questioning what’s missing…
This episode will help you understand why.

I also share my own turning point. The moment I realized that more clients, more effort, and more hustle weren’t the answer. What was missing was structure.

Because predictable businesses aren’t built on talent. They’re built on foundations.

This is the work we focus on inside Designer’s Room. Not just getting more clients, but building a business that can actually support them.

Episode Highlights

Why resourcefulness and adaptability can only take you so far
What actually creates consistency in your pipeline and revenue
How to shift from reactive decision-making to intentional growth
